Sightseeing around Johannesburg is made easy with “Hop-On-Hop-Off” Red Bus tours.
One can literally hop on and off the bus at various stops, and thus visit many interesting places, such as: the Johannesburg Zoo, Gold Reef City Theme Park, the Apartheid Museum, Constitution Hill, the Military Museum and/or the Transport Museum. There are also tours to Soweto.
At “Gold Reef City” next to the Theme Park, one can learn how Johannesburg, after the discovery of Gold, became known as the “City of Gold”.
Here one can learn about gold mining and descend 75 meters underground as early gold miners did and watch how gold was poured.
At the “Theme park” is much to see and do for young and old visitors including walks, shows and theme park rides.

A lovely day trip for visitors who cannot get to a safari but would still like to see some African wildlife.
One can take a guided tour or self-drive. Either way one is guaranteed sighting of African animals in some generous African bush surrounds.
There are up close encounters with animals available, and game viewing over leisurely lunch at the restaurants is another offer.
